The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a pre-paid fund used to cover the running expenses of your yacht charter. It typically amounts to 30–40% of the charter fee and is paid in advance of your trip.
APA covers variable costs such as fuel, food and beverages, port and marina fees, local taxes, and any personalized services or requests made during the charter. The captain manages the APA on your behalf, keeping transparent records of all expenses.
At the end of the charter, any unused APA is fully refunded, while additional costs (if any) are settled based on actual expenditure.
Similar to industry standards, if you decide to cancel your charter, the agency may retain your deposit or the entire charter fee; this depends on when you communicate your cancellation. If you cancel after you have submitted your deposit but before the final installment is due, the agency is entitled to retain your deposit. If you have already paid the entire charter fee, the agency is entitled to retain the full amount but will return the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Should you decide to cancel your charter, make sure to talk to your Yachters sales representative, as we can help liaise with the owner of the vessel to find an alternative date for your charter. Also, keep in mind that different contracts have different cancellation policies.

Combines professionalism with genuine warmth, led by a Captain Jure doesn’t count miles. He remembers moments. His expertise and knowledge of the Adriatic ensure smooth sailing and unforgettable journeys to its most stunning hidden gems.

Zdravko Bojić is an experienced Chief Mate with a strong background aboard private and charter yachts up to 40 metres, operating throughout the Adriatic and Mediterranean.

With seven years of yachting experience, Ivan brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and professionalism to the Clase Azul team. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude, he has earned outstanding references throughout his career and quickly became a valued member of the crew.

Ivan’s original vocation was Electrical Mechanics. He spent some time working in this field servicing and detailing cars before he ‘accidentally’ entered the yachting industry. Initially considering yachting a temporary endeavour, Ivan quickly fell in love with the industry, and now he enters his 9 season at sea . Ivan has worked aboard mini cruisers to luxury yachts (50 m), where his knowledge and attitude has consistently marked him as a valuable crew member.
A true five-star luxury experience.
Every detail was perfect.
You may choose how long to rent a yacht, depending on availability. Many charters are for one week, but some yachts offer a longer duration (multiple weeks or custom-events).
The charter rate typically includes the yacht, crew services, and necessary equipment. It usually does not include VAT or other local taxes, fuel, food & beverage provisioning, communication costs, canal or port fees, delivery/redelivery fees (if embarking/disembarking at a non-home port), or other incidental expenses.
APA is an amount set aside to cover running operational costs during your charter — for example: fuel, food and drink, port and marina charges, special requests, and on-board consumables. The percentage varies by yacht (often between ~25% – 40% of the charter fee). At the end of the charter, remaining funds are typically returned or credited accordingly.
Crew gratuities are optional, but it is customary to leave around 10 % – 20 % of the charter fee — depending on satisfaction and the level of service. Usually the Captain (or your charter consultant) handles distribution to ensure all crew members are recognised.

Sail with freedom, tailored to you.
